The Night Everything Changed (Part 4)

đź’€ (Keifer's POV)

The location was exactly what I expected.

Isolated. Quiet. Controlled.

Perfect for a setup.

I stepped out of the car, my eyes scanning the surroundings. No movement. No sound.

Too clean.

Too planned.

This had Kaizer written all over it.

I walked forward without hesitation.

Because if Jay was inside—

Nothing else mattered.

The door opened before I reached it.

Of course.

They were waiting.

I stepped in.

Dim lights. Men standing around. Watching.

But I didn't care about them.

My eyes locked onto one person.

Yuri.

Standing a few feet away.

Still. Silent.

Like he already knew I'd come.

"So it's you," I said coldly.

He didn't answer.

Didn't deny it either.

That was enough.

"Where is she?"

Straight to the point.

Always.

"She's fine," he said.

"For now?" I shot back.

Silence.

My fists clenched.

"If anything happens to her—"

"It won't."

Too quick.

Too firm.

Something wasn't right.

But I didn't trust him enough to care.

"Move."

He didn't.

Bad decision.

I stepped closer.

"Don't make me ask again."

"You don't understand what's going on," he said quietly.

I let out a short laugh.

"Then explain."

Silence.

Exactly.

⚡ (Yuri's POV)

I couldn't tell him.

Not here.

Not with them watching.

If I said anything wrong—

It wouldn't just be me who paid for it.

"Just... do what they say," I said.

The moment the words left my mouth—

I knew it sounded wrong.

🌑 (Jay's POV)

Voices.

That's what pulled me back.

Familiar.

Close.

My heart raced as I forced my eyes open.

The room was still the same.

Cold. Dark.

But the voices—

Clearer now.

And then I heard it.

Keifer.

My breath caught.

No.

He came.

Panic hit instantly.

"No..." I whispered.

This wasn't supposed to happen.

I tried to move, but the ropes tightened again.

Then—

The door opened.

Light flooded in.

And I saw them.

Keifer.

Standing there.

Tense. Focused.

And behind him—

Yuri.

"Keifer..." I said softly.

His head snapped toward me.

"Jay."

Relief flashed across his face—

But it didn't last.

đź’€ (Keifer's POV)

Seeing her like that—

Tied. Hurt—

Something inside me snapped.

I stepped forward immediately.

"I'm getting you out of here."

"Not so fast."

The voice stopped me.

Cold. Familiar.

I turned slowly.

Kaizer.

Standing there like he owned everything.

"Let her go," I said.

Direct.

No hesitation.

He smiled.

"You always get straight to the point."

"Don't test me."

A pause.

Then he gestured toward the table.

That's when I saw it.

Papers.

A pen.

Placed neatly.

Waiting.

"Simple deal," he said.

"I'm not here for deals."

"Oh, but you are."

His eyes shifted toward Jay.

And everything became clear.

"Sign the papers," he said calmly.

"Transfer everything."

A beat.

"Or she doesn't leave."

Silence filled the room.

Heavy.

Dangerous.

Jay shook her head slightly.

"Don't..."

Yuri didn't move.

Didn't speak.

Just stood there—

Caught in the middle.

And Kaizer—

He smiled.
